The function of the Business Analyst is to coordinate all aspects of requirements gathering and documentation, as well as bridging communications between the customer and the development teams. This position may include helping the customer understand available data sources, source system data analysis, understanding and gathering source-to-target mapping requirements.

Duties: Design and develop new computer programs using current company standards and procedures to improve current product offering. Perform necessary modifications to ensure successful implementation of software programs. Perform diagnostic testing, debugging and documentation of each modification to current software platform. Data-mine through customized reporting tools developed in conjunction with proprietary software architecture utilizing SQL Server Analysis Services 2005 and SQL Server Reporting Services 2005. Integrate financial, clinical and other healthcare information (such as claims processing and their denials) from different source systems into the Business Intelligence framework. Develop derivative analysis using the Microsoft’s suite of SQL tools in either T-SQL or MDX.

Requires: M.S. or equiv. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field & 2 years exp. as Software Developer, Project Engineer, Developer, or related. Also accepts B.S. or equiv. in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or related field & 5 yrs. exp. as Software Developer, Project Engineer, Developer, or related.

The candidate will work with SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services with focus on creating dashboards, scorecards and other reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver working with peers to resolve technical issues as well as business reporting issues. Must have the ability to thoroughly document, communicate, and adhere to processes. The candidate should have experience working with a BI development lifecycle as well as familiarity with standard methodologies and industry best practices.
